Federal and State Hours of Service Regulations for Trucks

Tennessee trucking accident law firm knows the law

The federal government has developed regulations for the trucking industry to which each state strictly adheres.  These regulations were established to protect all vehicles on the national and state highways.  The Tennessee trucking accident attorneys of Craft & Sheppard, PLC have studied these laws and regulations in order to proactively pursue lawsuits against truck drivers who knowingly and negligently defy the law, causing a trucking accident in Tennessee.

Our Tennessee trucking accident lawyers are educated in and updated on regulations by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.  The FMCSA wrote the hours-of-service regulations to put limits regarding when and how long a commerical truck driver may drive.  The regulations are based on scientifc studies and reviews in combination with fatigue research to determine safe driving limits and protect the public from national and Tennessee trucking accidents.
