Matthew E. Wright is an alumnus of Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1994) and Vanderbilt University Law School (J.D., 2002).  He also attended the University of Leeds in England.

Admitted to practice in all Tennessee state courts, Mr. Wright is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee and is a member of the American and Tennessee Associations for Justice, organizations who help fight for the rights of injured victims.  He has authored several articles that have been published in Trial Lawyer periodical and others. 

Mr. Wright is dedicated to representing victims of negligence and other injured victims, including those injured by defective products or services including energy utility companies, corporate negligence, medical negligence, unsafe premises, and other catastrophic injuries.

In addition to the hundreds of cases he has handled involving personal injuries, Mr. Wright also handles select commercial disputes or matters involving disputes between entities.  Examples of business disputes include breach of contract claims, non-compete agreements, unfair competition, interference with business relations, fraud (including fraud on the government under the False Claims Act or “qui tam”), taxation, and fee disputes.

Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family and regularly attends the Baptist Church in Brentwood.
